Reviews for An Ordinary Joe

The best book I've read in a very long time!

The emotional story of Joe, of his battle through cancer and finding true love.

When Joe sees Jenni for the first time on a kiss kam at a baseball game, he knows she's the one. As Joe writes every day on his blog as part of his cancer treatment, he also starts writing about Jenni, the hope and love she gives him, even though they've never met.

Just one catch - Jenni has no idea Joe is in love with her and Joe has no idea his blog is being read by nurse Destiny, every Friday, on Vince Stormes radio show.

As the people of Cincinnati fall in love with Joe and his story, so do we.

His story is truly inspirational, giving some insight into the life of someone battling cancer. What makes this story amazing, is the hope and love Joe has.

A complete page-turner, that will have reading late into the night. A fantastic read with a wonderful, unexpected ending.

Great Read

I really enjoyed this novel! It's about cancer patient Joe, who writes a blog through the hospital where he's receiving an experimental treatment. A nurse finds the blog and reads some posts to the DJ on a nighttime radio show. Soon, "Joe Blogs" catches like wildfire -- only Joe doesn't know it.

Joe falls in love at first sight with Jenni, a girl he saw on the big screen at a baseball game. Of course, once the radio gets wind of this, a media circus ensues. I like how the point of view changes throughout the story to give a picture of how all the main characters are feeling. We get into the head of the DJ, Jenni, and, of course, Joe himself.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves an unconventional love story with a happy ending! :)

Loved this book!

Frist I would like to start off by saying This book should get more then a five star rating. I was drawn to this book because I have lost 14 family members to cancer. With that being said This book is Fabulous. Joe Is not a man that is going to surrender to cancer quietly. He has things to do people to see and places to go before he dies. Not only was this book heartfelt, it was funny , it uplifted my soul, I found joy in this book and in Joes story. I too have been diagnosed recently with the big " C" and I found this book inspirational! Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!

Far from Ordinary!

Terminally ill cancer patient, Joe, has his blog aired on the Vince Storme radio show, gripping listeners and causing a media 'storm.' An Ordinary Joe has a whole lot going for it. I was intrigued to discover who Joe really is, and whether he would get together with Jenni, the focal subject of his blog. Written in the third person and in the present tense, the pace is fast and the dialogue funny and realistic. A great ending. Highly recommended.
